Mneme

Install Mneme One line. Any platform.

Each install downloads Mneme from dist.stryxlabs.com, checks its SHA-256 before it runs, and registers the MCP server. No admin rights. Everything runs on your own machine.

curl -fsSL https://mneme.stryxlabs.com/install.sh | bash

Copy a command and the doors open.

macOS and Linux

Apple Silicon, Intel, x86_64 and arm64.

The script finds your system and architecture by itself. Macs with Apple Silicon get the native arm64 build, and Intel Macs run it through Rosetta 2. Linux has builds for x86_64 and arm64. Mneme installs to ~/.mneme/bin/mneme and joins your PATH.

curl -fsSL https://mneme.stryxlabs.com/install.sh | bash

Restart Claude Code afterwards, then check the install with mneme doctor.

Windows

PowerShell. No admin.

One line in PowerShell on Windows 10 or 11. Mneme installs to %USERPROFILE%\.mneme and joins your user PATH.

Your AI host

Plug into any MCP client.

Mneme is a standard MCP server that speaks over stdio, with 49 tools. Every current AI coding host speaks MCP, so the same memory serves all of them at once.

  • Claude CodeFound and registered on install. Restart Claude Code and Mneme is listed under MCP servers.
  • Cursor, Windsurf, ZedAdd Mneme as an MCP server in the editor’s settings, pointed at the mneme binary.
  • Claude DesktopAdd Mneme to the MCP section of its config file and restart it.
  • Codex, Gemini, QwenEach has its own MCP server config. Mneme’s installer carries templates for the AI tools it knows.
  • Your own clientAny client built on an MCP SDK can call Mneme like any other stdio server.

First run

Start it. Ask it something.

Four commands, and you know everything is in place before Claude asks its first question.

mneme daemon start
mneme build .
mneme recall "auth handler"
mneme doctor
  • daemon startStarts the Mneme daemon in the background.
  • build .Builds the graph of the project you are in. After the first build it keeps itself current as you save.
  • recallAsks the memory a question, the way your agent will.
  • doctorChecks the daemon, the store and the tools, and says what is wrong if something is.

Something not right? Send the output of mneme doctor to hello@stryxlabs.com. A person answers.
